Stanley Marion Vardiman

Asheville – Stanley Marion Vardiman, 58, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late George Stanley Vardiman and Mildred Fisher Capps. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Ed Capps; son, Scotty Medford; and brother, Lloyd Vardiman and wife Martha. Surviving are his daughter, Sasha Vardiman of Asheville; sisters: Violet Vardiman of Swannanoa, Rebecca Banks and husband Tim of Barnardsville, and Annie Jaradat and husband Sam of Mars Hill; special nephew, Shawn Patton; a beloved companion, his dog, Bella; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Rev. Gerald Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 till 2 PM at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 NC restrictions, the visitation will be limited 10 people at a time.
