Stanley Dale Smith

Stanley Dale Smith, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the age of 69 in Asheville, North Carolina. Born on November 12, 1956, in Asheville, Stanley lived a life filled with passion for his work and love for his family and friends.

Stanley dedicated his life and career to restoring cars, combining his talent and enthusiasm into operating Smith's Body Shop. His expertise and attention to detail earned him respect within the local automotive community, and many will remember him not just as a skilled craftsman but as a person with a big heart who would help anyone in need.

A devoted member of Monticello Road Baptist Church, Stanley found joy and solace in his faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and a commitment to helping others.

Stanley is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Helton Smith; his children, Leah Smith and Nathan Smith; and his grandchildren, Jason, Logan, and many others who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Edgley (Sam); his brother, Randy Smith (Grady); and several nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert James Smith; and brother, Larry Smith.

A memorial service to honor Stanley's life will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Monticello Road Baptist Church, located at 269 Monticello Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787. Rev. David King and Rev. Scott Fender will officiate the service. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable individual who touched the hearts of many.
