Steve Austin

Hendersonville - Larry Stephen Steve Austin, 65, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Charles George VA Medical Center. A native of Buncombe County, Mr. Austin retired from the US Army following 20 years of service, serving in both Vietnam and Germany and was a fan of classic cars. He was the son of the late Pascal and Bertha Robinson Austin. Surviving are his daughters: Stephanie Austin of Asheville and Darlena Austin of Franklin; brothers: Kenneth Austin (Genelle) of Federal Way, WA, Jerry Dean Austin of Asheville, and David Austin (Brenda) of Marion; and sisters: Wilma Dillingham of Lexington, NC and Linda Waldrop of Saluda. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
