Susie Brown - Ray

Asheville - Susanna June Susie Brown-Ray, 27, began her journey with her Lord Sunday, January 12, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer for the past year. She was born in Stuttgart, Germany, had resided in Buncombe County for the past 18 years and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Susie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Louis R. Renison; paternal grandfather, Billy F. Brown; maternal great grandfather, Dexter E. Wilson; and maternal great grandmother, Evelyn Redmon Davis. Surviving is her husband, Paul Anthony Ray of the home; parents, Harold Randall and Sandra Renison Brown of Asheville; sisters, Melissa Brown Sanders and husband Dwayne, Amanda Louise Brown and Virginia Leah Ginny Brown; brother Christopher Chris William Brown and nephews Nikolas and Noah Sanders all of Asheville; maternal grandmother, Christine Renison of Asheville; paternal grandmother, Daisy Brown of Candler; maternal great grandmother, Essie Wilson of Alexander; . Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Sprinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Redmon Family Cemetery.
