Thedra P. Brumfield

Woodfin - Thedra Parham Brumfield, 85, passed away Saturday October 31, 2009 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired from Square D. She was a daughter of the late Alonzo Lon and Harriet Elizabeth Lizzie Parham. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Smart; second husband, Glenn Duckett; sister, Frances Grannie Sluder Sprinkle and brothers, Clarence Bud Parham and Theodore Parham. Surviving are her husband, Wesley Guy Brumfield, Sr. of the home; sister, Mary Stewart of Asheville; step children, Cheryl Ramskill (Bob) Mineral Springs, Wes Brumfield, Jr. (Nedra), Marietta, GA, Nancy Freitas (Joe) of Leicester and Kelly Brumfield of Southaven, MS; 8 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Catherine Hands of Florida; special sister-in-law, Jan Gremmel of Arlington, VA; brother-in-law, Stan Brumfield of Maysville, WV; step sisters-in-law, Nancy Dice of Maitland, FL, Faye Ferguson of Chicago, IL, Gayle Martin of Rockbridge Baths, VA, Marie Smolinski of South Point, OH and Hazel Moore of Severna Park, MD; special niece and friend, Barbara Alexander of Leicester, special nephew, Ed Sluder (Jean) of Candler and several more nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Pastor Marjorie Kiess officiating.
