Thomas "Tommy" Nesbitt

Fairview - Thomas "Tommy" Crawford Nesbitt, 68, passed away Friday October 1, 2010 at his residence. A native of Buncombe County, he had lived in the Newport News area of Virginia for 40 years before returning to Buncombe County 3 years ago. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. He was a son of the late Alvin Thomas Nesbitt and Mary Marene Crawford Nesbitt Byrum. Surviving are his son, Thomas Dean Nesbitt and wife Sharon of Fairview; brother, Alan Nesbitt and wife Judy of Fairview; grandsons, Stephen and Nathan Nesbitt, stepsons, Howard, Johnny and Tracy Brown; beloved step grandson, Cody Brown and 4 nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Spring Mtn. Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Jerry Wilson and John Erwin officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
