Tommy Dean Rogers

Leicester - Tommy Dean Rogers, 48, of 561 Mink Farm Road, died Sunday April 7, 2002 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A life long resident of Buncombe County, he was retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation. He was a son of Grace B. Rogers of Leicester and the late Albert R. Rogers. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Pasty Caldwell Rogers of the home; daughter, Patty Surrett and husband, Donnie of Leicester; brothers, Roy L. Rogers and wife, Pam of Asheville and David Earl Rogers of Leicester; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Revs. David King and Gerald Clark officiating. Burial will be at Rogers Family Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times will be at his mothers residence, 510 Mink Farm Road.
