Vestia Woods

ASHEVILLE - Vestia Katherine Gentry Woods, 92, formerly of Candler, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Emerald Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Woods retired as a Lead Operator at American Enka. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Mark and Nellie Rosetta Gentry, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Woods; and sons: Randall and Stanley Woods. Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis Tweed and her husband Albert, of Candler. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with the Rev. David Grindstaff officiating.
