Victor "Vic" Tourner

Candler - Victor Andrew Vic Tourner, 75, of 4 Kayce Drive died Tuesday February 13, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospital after an extended illness. A native of Delray, MI, he had lived in Buncombe County since 1995. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. He was a son of the late James and Marion Tourner. Surviving are his wife, Joan Tourner of the home; son, Robert Tourner of Leicester; daughters, Margaret Tourner of Leicester, Barbara McQuiston of Pine Knot, KY, Kathy Tourner of St. Paul, MN, Lisa Johnson of Vista, CA and Karen Dudley of Lincoln Park, MI; step daughters, Sandie Girrbach of Allen Park, MI and Brenda Toth of Dearborn, MI; sisters, Marie Sherman of Southgate, MI, Patsy Torres of Riverview, MI and Fran Mokrenski of Trenton, MI; brothers, Chuck Tourner of Grosse Ile, MI and Jim Tourner of Lincoln Park, MI; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Pole Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Thurman officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
