Virginia M. Curtis

Asheville - Virginia M. Curtis, 78, of 115 Raleigh Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. She was a lifelong resident of Buncombe Co. and she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Curtis and a son, Dean Curtis. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Maynard Walter Curtis of the home; sons, Ken Curtis of Black Mtn. and Robert Sonny Curtis and wife Lisa of Fletcher; daughter, Wanda Roland of Black Mtn.; grandchildren, Tracy Dean Curtis, Billy Lee Curtis, Patsy Kay Howard, Robert Wayne Curtis, Jr., Brandon Tyler Curtis, and Amy Elizabeth Curtis; great grandchildren, Kaylei and Stacy Howard, and Austin Curtis. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. H. L. Wilson and Roy Waldrop officiating. Burial will be in Gashes Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
