Fletcher - Wayne Lisenbee, Jr., 63, of 237 Lindsey Loop, died Sunday October 26, 2003 at Park Ridge Hospital. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He served in the Vietnam War and retired from the Air Force National Guard. He was a General Manager with WTOO and a mechanic. He attended and was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church in Fairview and he sang with the Tonesmen Quartet for many years. He was a son of the late Wayne Lisenbee, Sr. and Mildred Merrill Lisenbee. Surviving are his wife, Aline Lisenbee of the home; daughter, Cindy Randolph and husband, Mark of Hickory; grandsons, Micah and Evan Randolph; sister, Marian Keever of Asheville; brother, Norman Lisenbee of Arden and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Norris Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain Wednesday at 2 p.m. with military rites conducted by the Shaw Air Force Base. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
