Wayne Randolph Reese Sr.

Asheville - Wayne Randolph Reese, Sr. is no longer with us, Mr. Reese joined the Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2005. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Calvin and Della Lanning Reese. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Surviving are his wife, Martha Elizabeth Lipe Reese; sons, Michael D. Reese, Wayne Reese, Jr., Earl W. Reese and Albert Hughes all of Asheville; daughter, Angela Sawyer of Asheville; brothers, Vernon Reese and Roy Calvin Reese both of Asheville; sister, Audrey Francum of Asheville; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Lanning officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
