William David Rollins

Fairview - William David Rollins, 58, of 10 Laurel Pines Church Road, died Monday November 19, 2001 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Norfork, VA, he had lived in Greer, SC before moving to Buncombe County in 1980. He was a member of Worldwide Church of God and an U.S. Air Force Veteran. Mr. Rollins was a son of the late Thomas and Eva Babb Rollins. Surviving are his wife, Sue Buckner Rollins of the home; daughters, Loma Shibata and husband, Yoichiro of Graham, NC, Heidi Rollins, Molly Rollins and Elizabeth Rollins all of the home; sons, Ted Rollins and wife, Becky of Fort Collins, CO, Alex Rollins of Scottville, NC and Eric Rollins of the home; grandson, Andrew Rollins; sisters, Annie Rollins-Protas of Fountain Hills, AZ and Margie Poole of Greenville, SC; brothers, Lewis Rollins of Greer, SC, John Rollins of Greenville, SC, Logan Rollins of Marietta, SC, Steve Rollins of Travelers Rest, SC and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, with the Rev. George Pinckney officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
