William Jones

Candler - William Jones, 86, of 562 Asbury Rd. passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010. A native of Pickens, SC, he lived most of his life in Buncombe County. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Robert and Tempie Capps Jones and was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are his wife, Marie Jones of the home; daughters, Brenda Fishback and husband Don of Hillsboro, OH and Debra Pearson of Candler; brother, Yancey Jones and wife Helen of Black, Mtn.; sister, Evelyn Shook and husband Wade of Hendersonville; 5 grandchildren, Dave, Chris and Jacqueline McClain and Blu and Rusty Pearson; 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Mr. Nelson Hathcock officiating. Entombment will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park.
